With more than 40 years of appraisal, litigation and expert-witness experience, it’s no surprise that Lawrence Pynes heads up the national Litigation Support Division at Herron Companies. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and he holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Glendale University. There is no question that clients feel safe in his hands as he is uniquely capable of strategizing issues of value presentation and negotiating through the legal rules of engagement.

He began his appraisal career in 1976 and was president of a Los Angeles-based appraisal firm for 15 years before joining Herron Companies in 2001. He is a licensed Certified General Appraiser and a real estate broker. In 1985, he received the A.S.A. Senior designation from the American Society of Appraisers in the area of Urban Real Property.

Uniquely qualified to appear as an expert witness in Superior Court and Federal Bankruptcy Court should a client need his services, Lawrence is ready to step up to the plate. He has acted as a consultant to various attorneys on hundreds of legal cases involving a wide variety of real property issues, in addition to appraising everything from land, hotels, and office buildings to shopping centers and other complex developments.
